Wanting to experiment, going to another topic for the mini brief.
I visited Liverpool over the Spring break, I saw the Beatles statues.
I loved the look of the rain stained metal it was made out of. The patterns captured my eyes.
Inspired, I started to draw and wanted to try if I could make something of these statues in my own style.
While I was there, drew a sketch to remind myself later that I wanted to make something of it.
This time I did a zoom in of Paul and George’s clothing.
I eventually tried out with oil pastels to capture and exaggerated coloured version.
I am relatively happy with the outcome of Paul’s, but struggled with George’s quite a bit so I left it less detailed. I prefer it this way rather than if I was to finish George’s the same way are Paul’s. It gives it more character, more to think about.
